Scarves for all occassions

by - December 02, 2008

Japanese women use their scarves in a variety of creative ways. If they are using a see-through dress then the scarf helps them cover the top discreetly. If they are cold, then the scarf provides the necessary warmth for the neck.

Scarves are for all occasions, not just formal ones. Japanese women, like their dresses, have scarves for all occasions. While some Japanese companies insist on their women staff using some kind of neckwear as part of the uniform, during winter, Japanese women will use scarves to bring a sense of color. European brands such as Hermes, Gucci, and Fendi are most popular and some of these scarves can be fairly expensive. The younger women tend to use a large variety of neck wear and the high-school girls/teenagers have a very typical design (a checkered pattern) of a scarf that is seen practically all over the country.

Over here in KL, we are witnessing more and more girls using scarves to accessorize their outfits and using them as head wraps is an even more common sight than before. These vintage Japanese scarves we're posting today have the quaintest designs with fresh spring colors that wearing each would definitely help you make a statement!
